Project Title:
The "Ins and Outs" of the School of Music Recording Studio

General Goal:
This training module would show a basic setup for recording a single microphone thru the digital console to the workstation.

Specific Outcomes:
After viewing the multimedia project, students will be able to:
  • setup and connect microphones in the USC School of Music recording facilities
  • Patch the microphone to the console
  • configure the mixing console to pass signal to the DAW
  • configure the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software to record the signal

Audience:
Students of MUSC 365 Introduction to Audio Recording and other users of the USC School of Music Recording Studio.
